Open source GUI/software interface for a fighter jet, possible?

I'm just wondering if its possible to program a GUI or even the entire software interface for a jet fighter using x86 hardware with all aircraft specific hardware going into an emulator or translator that turns certain data like data from the radar into data that x86 hardware can read. I'm just wondering if this is possible because the F-35 has a really great cockpit layout were the entire cockpit is basically a giant monitor that display important flight and radar data. BTW I frogot to mention that the flight display is also a touch screen, so you can choice your weapons or radar targets with a touch of an icon or target to lock on to.

Not quite sure what you want?

I think the most easy way is to create an emulation of what is going on. taking the raw military encrypted cyper psiko data from a jet could be hard.

Creating an emulation using C# or java could be done in hours.

I'm sure it's possible, but first you would need to know some very technical details about the plane in question...
