RMx1000 Corsair and HVPWR 4090 build

Hi guys. 
 

quick question. I have a 4090 with the HVPWR TO 4 pcie cable. 
 

I have a Corsair RMx 1000 PSU that came with 3 PCIe cables  (although it has room for another cable to be plugged in).

 

I’m currently using 3 dedicated rails to 3 and the 4th I’m using the secondary on a same rail. 
 

it messy, cables everywhere. 
Q 1 can I use the new cable that Corsair are selling (around 30 bucks). I think it’s a single cable that has 2 pcie connectors on it. 

Assuming the answer to above is (although I think it’s a yes) then…

 

Q2 are after market HVPWR cables any good? I would like a longer one than the 2 inch one that came with the gpu.

 

Q3 if I just stick with what I have can I loose one of the pcie cables and just run 2 rails with the 4 ends on to the GPU.

Cablemod is good it took me like 2 months to get mine though (I ordered about 3 weeks before 4090 launch).

Corsair wouldn't sell it if it wasn't fine to use. It's 2x 8 pin PEG to 16 pin PCI-e5.0 600w.

Also using the Cablemod cable which cleaned things up a great deal, and works great, I did get an e-mail this week that they are currently in stock but also that custom orders are closed until February.

Thanks. I’ve ordered the cable from Corsair. Shame it doesn’t ship with the £150 PSU. You would think it would. However even at £175 total it’s still cheaper than a 1000w atx3 PSU
