Just finished my 700$ pc for myself, and the wife said she wanted something similar. I would like to stay in the 500 dollar range. I have a keyboard, mouse, monitor, and os. I heard that the r7 260x can do battlefield 4 on high at 1080p at 30 frames so I would like to use that graphics card. Thanks in advance!

This is nice for $450ish.  I did it in USD (dont know where you live).  If you want to use a i3 instead, I can switch it out.  Also, you could go with a cheaper case.

The i5 4430 can be price matched for $99, but it would stretch your budget.  Maybe you could give her your 760k and take the i5??

Also, you could remove the ssd or hhd and get a 265 gpu instead of the 260x.

If you can get the i5 for 99, do it.  Also, I put in a non modular psu (you are going to use most of the cables anyways).  The r7 260 265 from MSI comes with 2 get games if you get it from Newegg.  I put the HDD as buying it from Newegg (extra $2 so you dont have to buy from 4 different places and no rebate).

EDIT : you should look into getting a ssd instead of or with the hard drive.

Since you didn't get the processor or motherboard yet, you should try to get the 4430 for $99.  Its a steal for that price.   http://linustechtips...e/#entry1974222

the MSI 270x is $199 on newegg if you want to go with that card.  http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=14-127-761&nm_mc=EMC-GD050714&cm_mmc=EMC-GD050714-_-index-_-Item-_-14-127-761

I think it's a better idea to try and get the i5 on sale. If it doesn't work out ( for whatever reason) the 6300 is a good choice.

Also, the psu's that come with cases aren't always the greatest. I'm not sure about the CM elite 350, but I would look into it. I agree with going with a 270x since they have been dropping in price (the MSI one is on sale at newegg).

As long as he isn't overclocking, that PSU should do fine.

I wasn't talking about the wattage, but the quality of the psu. Some included psu's aren't even rated 80+ (not sure about the CM one)

I have a operating system, and a hard drive. I am looking into cards for not much more than 200$ and I think my best option is a 270x. Although I can not figure out what aftermarket card to get, any suggestions?

***Edit:

Used for battlefield 4, titan fall, fps. United states dollar being used.

Just saw that the Asus direct cu 2 r7 270x is on sale for $210. Both are good options.

I wasn't talking about the wattage, but the quality of the psu. Some included psu's aren't even rated 80+ (not sure about the CM one)

Anything here from DirectCU II, TWIN FROZR, WINDFORCE, or royalQueen is good.
