What Socket Will Intel's 14th Gen Meteor Lake Have?

Has there been any official news on it having the LGA 1700 socket or will it be using a new one? Or will certain motherboards support both the LGA 1700 AND the new one for 14th gen? (if it is using a new socket)

Nothing official as far as I know, since they wont talk much about it until much closer to launch. Based on historic trends it is likely it'll be another "new" socket, given they typically support two CPU gens per chipset/socket, and we had 12/13th gen pairing. Meteor Lake is also quite different from anything they did in the past which might nudge more to a new socket too. I'd hope for cooler compatibility at least.
