Simple Video editting software?

To compile video, lightworks is pretty awesome...

But otherwise i dont think that there are any cheap editing software (from what i know)

Hi, was just wondering if anyone knew of any simple video editting softwares that are free (or very cheap). Movie maker seems to be missing a tool to crop out borders of the video and cant do video-in-video (one over the other, e.g. webcam) and i cant figure out how to convert the stereo to mono audio, because my file i am using has all coming through right side for some reason. Any suggestions will be appriciatated, only features i need are video dimension cropping, video time cropping (removing a segment of the video), and simple audio changes like i said before. Thanks

Wait by editing do you just mean adding sound and cropping and compiling video?

If then, Lightworks should be perfect! (It takes a bit of learning though, so you should watch a few tutorials.)

If you want to add graphics and things, you might have to pay quite a lot. (i'll tell you if i find any free software)
