Overheat gpu and vram

I recently changed my thermal paste and vram thermal pads but temp on gpu rises from 65 to 75C and then while playing pubg fps drop suddenly to 7 to 10 and then game crushes and restart .. does that mean my vram is gone or i just need to reapply my thermal paste and pads

No that doesnt mean that. You might have used wrong thermal pads and you may not have any contact between cooler and VRAMs or you might have too thick thermal pads and that in turn can mess up your GPU die mounting pressure resulting in uneven cooling.

 

If your VRAMs were gone, you would see typical VRAM artifacts on screen. This just sounds like something is unstable.

So my vram and my graphic card still good and i just need to reapply thermals pad and paste ??

What are your VRAM temps on idle and while gaming ? Nothing below 100C isn't even a concern

I didnt measure it cause i dont wont to run the computer before figuring out the problem and fixit

I have palit rtx 2070 dual im wondering to have the right thikness for each thermal pad

You can try emailing the manufacturer and asking them about thickness.

 

You can also buy a couple sizes and return what you don't need after measuring the old pads if you don't want downtime.

 

Stacking pads is also ok. Two 0.5mm instead of one 1mm etc.

If you can't find the info, get the most common thickness (0.5mm, 1mm and 2mm) and you'll probably have all you need.

If it happens to be 1.5mm or 2.5mm, you can combine. Just make sure you have a caliper to measure the original pads.
