xiaomi note 10 pro stuck in recovery mode.

Izak_lotter

Hi there,

I have a note 10 pro and after charging it overnight it no longer boots into the OS.

When I turn the device on it automatically goes into "recovery mode".

I don't want to wipe all data as there are photos on my phone that I wish to keep.

What I have tried:
1. "Safe mode" - this simply reboots the phone and back to recovery mode
2. "Connect with MIAssistanant" - Downloaded the app but does not detect my device
3. Fastboot mode - Downloaded the fastboot and ADB files.
I can't use ADB because developer mode is not enabled and when I try to use fastboot to flash twrp recovery on the device it gives me an error "Flashing is not allowed in Lock State".

I contacted Mi.com but even tough my device is under warranty and there is a Mi shop 20min away, the advised that there is no way to get my photos as they don't do repairs in South Africa.

Does anyone have any other methods on how I can get my photos?

Nope, think you're out of luck there. That's why I always use a cloud backup service for my phone, so I don't lose my files if I have to reset it. Sorry this happened to you. Maybe someone else will know a way, but I've never heard of a way without developer mode/ADB being used.

Please quote my post, or put @paddy-stone if you want me to respond to you.
