hello people,

 

as the title says my 5800X is overheating, when at idle or just watching Youtube my temps are around 90C and in the bios the cpu temps are around 45-50C. I tried applaying more and less thermalpaste and I changed the orientation of my radiator.

I now have my R2600 in my pc and the temp is now at 47C. 

Is there somting wrong with my CPU, Cooler or motherboard.

 

the cooler I use is the MSI coreliquid 360R and the motherboard is the gigabyte aorus x570 elite. case Lian li o-11 dynamic.

 

if you have any info that helps i will be thankfull,

90c in light use says your cooler isn't working correctly (failed pump, gunk in the loop, leakage/bubbles)

Multiple reports of getting defective ones back. Msi didnt do a good job there

LIan Li is warranty of expensiveness, but it's nice 😉

Do you really need the best of the best cooling? I honestly am having a hard time recommending AIOs nowadays due to how hit and miss they can be when it comes to quality. If you need the best cooling, Arctic Liquid Freezer 2 gets my vote. Otherwise, NH-D15 is what I would recommend.

For the cheaper models, I recommend the Arctic Cooling 280mm, for the pricier ones the EK AIO 360 D-RGB.

For air cooling, a dual tower dual fan option should do good. 6 or more heatpipes.
