CPU temps on bios first boot

Hi every body. I just finished my build and whilest checking that everything looked fine and was being read correctly in the bios I noticed that even though is not hot is in the normal range, that the cpu temps were at 38 C*. I thought these were going to be cooler at around the 20's C* since is the first boot and its just sitting in bios.

Is 38 C* normal for first boot whilest sitting in bios? I know normaly while idle it the average is to be from 30 - 50 C* but this being the first boot thought it would be cooler.

Thanks!

Sure, bios isn't special. The cpu is still on, thus will still produce heat.

Hey, without knowing what system you got seems normal to me. 🙂

Ok, perfect then 🙂

With this in mind, for future reference, what temps would be a red flag for the CPU?

TJMax is 100°C. That is the temperature if reached your CPU will throttle but try to keep it below 80°C if you can (I think you can). I haven't ran any Ryzen 7000 chips though.

Yes this would be slightly high but within reason for that chip.
