Mouses and keyboards steelseries, headsets not so much. Not a fan of razer either. I had 2 siberia v2's break on me, the exact same way.

from my experience SteelSeries lasts longer and is a lot more durable where razer is really hit or miss (mostly miss). The only thing I have from razer is a headset that has lasted me since 2011 and the only reason it's stayed alive is because I've been babying it ever since I bought it. Everything else I had has either died within a year or started to develop issues from moderate use.

The suspension part of the headband snapping at one of the cables?

Nope. The left speaker dying.

Only problem with Razer Deathadder Black Edition (2012 edition) is the matte finish is quite worn off on the left and right click buttons but still working perfectly.

No problems with Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2013 edition no far though!

Steelseries products are also quality, I'd say base your decision off design preference.

I once have the steelseries 7h for my headset but I used it for like only about half a year? And the cable near to the left earcup snapped or somehow unable to connect to the earcup itself at some movement I made sometimes.. I was fired up.. Until now I haven't get any headset.. Mouse I'm using now is sensei, it's been 3 years and just a little bit problem with the left click but it was ok. Was planning to get the wireless sensei and the wireless h but I'm still comparing to the razer's mouse and headsets.. I'm using a razor mousepad till now, almost 8 years I guess

I kind of hate Synapse, so I'll go Steelseries.

So much razer hate in this forum. The DA and Blackwidow 2013 were both fantastic products (the latter maybe a little overpriced) so they do know how to make good products. Yeah they suck with audio but if you want gaming audio stop looking at gaming headsets. Anyway Steelseries is awesome too.

Pretty much all of the big peripheral makers are good at the moment.

Logitech, Steelseries, Razer, and Zowie(they are smaller but still good).

I think Razers pretty good. I love my deathadder but I'm not too wild about their other products. One of my friends uses the nostromo, the little weird keyboard thing, and he adores it. He actually has trouble switching back to regular keyboards sometimes. As far as steelseries goes I've heard good things but can't really say anything about them because I've only got a mousepad of theirs. I will say though that mouse is top quality. TEN OUTA TEN!

I've had some Razor mice in the past, as tried a couple headsets on/etc. Honestly, I've never felt like I'm using a quality product with Razor. They tend to feel cheap IMO.

SteelSeries, on the other hand, has never done me wrong. All their products that I have had perform great, and they feel solidly built. Top notch IMO. I know a lot of people talk about having issues with the Siberia V2's. I have had no such issues with mine, and they still work great after 2.5 years of usage (they have travelled across Canada multiple times too).

I would lean towards SteelSeries.

Never say it's not broken. Everything is broken. Why? Because everything needs MOAR POWA!

I have 2 SteelSeries Sensei and a SteelSeries Apex and they're ok.

I don't like the looks and feeling of SS's mechanical keyboards and I wish my Apex was mechanical :(
The Senseis are great but they do feel cheap

SteelSeries Engine is pretty cool but it does have its flaws. Sometimes some zones on my Apex won't light up at all and sometimes my Sensei will not show the led lights. It does get quite laggy sometimes if you put different profiles on the peripherals (Ex: I put a profile on Photoshop and every time I switch between Photoshop and Chrome, it will lag in between, switching from my PS profile to my regular profile

All in all, the colors and customization from SS is good. And I really like the macro keys :)
