Noob needing feedback on parts list

Golfius

Budget (including currency): 2500$

Country: Switzerland

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: DayZ, Minecraft, GTA 5, Drone Simulators, possibly streaming

Other details

I adapted a pcpartpicker list so I'd be able to buy all the stuff from a swiss store and now I'm wondering if everything would still be compatible and if you would have any general recommendations for the build.

I'm new to pc building and looking to get a decent pc which I won't have to upgrade for a while.

If it's pure gaming with 0 multitasking 16GB is still plenty,

unless you're planning to use some specific programs that eat ram.

So based on your uses and games, you don't need the absolute fastest possible PC you can afford?

Well, it is true that these aren't the most demanding games, but I'd still like the PC to be as fast as possible to have a bit of extra capacity for newer more demanding games.

Good point, I could afford the Intel Core i5-13600K. I found out that there is also a KF version without integrated graphics, should I get the KF one because I got a dedicated graphics card or is there any use to the integrated graphics even if I have dedicated graphics as well?

there is no use but the KF version isn't any extra faster as far as I know

Can you list the site you plan to buy from? In general it looks okay but there could be some better options for the same or lower price

Sure, It's a swiss website though. BTW i already changed the ram to 2 x 16GB and the CPU to the i5-13600k.

13600k-339 chf

Scythe fuma rev b- 66 chf

Msi pro z690-a wifi- 235 chf

2x16 3200 cl16 ram- 95 chf (you could probably find a cheaper kit but it only showed 3600 cl18 ram when I searched 3200 cl16)

Crucial p3 2tb- 173 chf

Xfx 6900xt- 741 chf

Fractal design meshify 2 rgb- 135 chf

Rm850e- 129 chf

In total that's approximately 1900 chf or 2000 usd

16GB of Ram would be bare minimum, 32GB is ideal for this level of build. 13600k is also just fine. I would consider ddr5 6000\6400MHz if it’s in your budget. If it’s not, and you go with ddr4, do not buy 3200MHz ram as some one else suggested. It’s too slow. 3600MHz cl16 ideally. I might also wait for the rx7900x to be released. It might be in your budget, or at least it could further push down the price on the 6900xt.

I'm resent to PC building too so tak my advice with a grain of salt, but I suggest that you hae a 500mb or 1tb ssd and use at least in sata slot that's not hybrid(it's exspenisive af) choe a rpm one they sell for sheaper and give alot more storage.

An example for a cheap rpm,

Seagate Barracuda Compute 2 TB 3.5" 7200 RPM Internal Hard Drive $49.99usd

vs.

Samsung 970 Evo Plus 500 GB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive $59.99usd

3200 cl16 is a perfectly sensible choice, but if op wants to go ddr5 then This board with This kit of ram would be a good choice as well

It’s slow and no reason to buy it. In a $2500 build, surely there’s an extra $50 for better ram. The only reason to ever buy 3200 cl16 is if it’s a super budget build where you need every dollar for a better gpu.

Slow is a bit of an exaggeration, there really won't be a large difference in performance if op only plans to game

Not an exaggeration at all. The difference between 3200MHz cl16 and 3600/3800 cl14 in a game like Warzone is 20%. I’m not expecting most people to buy and tune Samsung B due to get cl14, but paying the small premium in a $2500 build to at least get 3600 cl16 is the bare minimum.

You're neglecting the fact that they're running a 5950x and 3800 mt/s which is pretty much the most ideal  for 1:1 infinity fabric operation as well as cl14 being pretty tight timings for ddr4. That's a performance uplift id expect, but intel dosent have that same performance increase from 3200 cl16 to 3800 cl14.  3200 cl16 and 6000 are both fine choices

I’d love to prove you wrong, but I’m not going spend a hour or more tuning my memory to 3200 cl16 and 3800 cl14, on my 12700k and do the benchmarks with screen grabs. Wouldn’t change your mind anyway.

@GolfiusLots of good advice on here. Do yourself a favor, if you do chose ddr4, spend the little extra for 3600MHz cl16. On a 16GB kit it’s around $25 more, on a 32GB kit, it’s about $50-$60. In the over all scheme of your build, it’s a very small price increase, but makes a big impact on the quality of the machine. Anyone who recommends differently has never actually used better memory.
