That's why the wallet doesn't go in a back pocket.

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

I found a fairly happy medium between trifold and the ridge wallet style.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073CZ5275/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I picked one of these up, and it's lasted very very well. I didn't realize until I went to go find the link that I've had that one for over 3 years of daily use. I tried a Ridge style wallet, but they liked to hold dust between cards, and they all just ended up messed up and sanded down in a few months. This hasn't had that issue.

One down side personally: Where I live it's very common to keep cash. It's a bit limited on how much or what bills you can carry. If you try to carry small change it just gets filled up too quickly. I usually keep 1s in my backpack just to keep the size a bit smaller. I never tried the RFID blocking or have been too worried about it, so I can't speak on that part.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

Blasphemy!

But in all seriousness, I couldn't imagine not having it in my back pocket. If I don't have every item I usually carry in the same pocket I've used for years (phone-LF, keys-RF, wallet-RR, everything else-LR), I feel like I'm naked or lost something.

Edit: this isn't entirely true. I've actually gotten into the habit lately of carrying a backpack due to lots of traveling, and only have a phone and knife on my person.

My back pockets might as well not exist.

Front left: wallet and keys

Front right: Phone

That's all I carry.

Although, 99% of the time when I'm out I'm wearing a zipped hoodie so my keys go in that left pocket.

If I'm at work wearing my work trousers, I use my left knee pocket for my gloves, and my right knee pocket for snacks.

Laptop:

I've been using one of these for probably 5 years (yes, it's kinda beat up but who cares?).  Twenty bucks and works perfectly.
