a question concerning this product.

Micro Center Premium 1TB microSDXC Card, Nintendo-Switch Compatible Flash Memory Card, UHS-I C10 U3 V30 4K UHD Video A1 R/W Speed up to 90/70 MB/s Micro SD Card with Adapter (1TB) https://a.co/d/d7JCBs0

Knowing you are sponsored by Micro Center, I figured I'd ask you if this is legit. The price is less than half that of the Sandisk cards of the same capacity.

Who is "you"? LTT staff don't answer people's technical inquiries here.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

They are referencing LTT. They originally posted the question in an LTT thread and was told to post here in Storage so they likely just copy/pasted what they had written.

Ah, I see.

@Dragonwinged I think unfortunately you're misunderstanding what this forum is for. LTT staff don't really post here, and when they do its almost always in regard to specific LTT content or products. They're almost certainly not going to answer your quest about an SD card, and even if they wanted to there's no way LTT can be familiar with all of the millions of products sold by a company like Micro Center, even if they are a sponsor.

Some other forum members may be able to comment. Micro Center's storage products sold under the Inland brand are usually good value although not the cream of the crop in performance. Notably, if you filter the Amazon reviews to just the 1TB version, there is only a single review (albeit a 5-star one) so this seems to be a new offering.

Highly doubt it’s a scam. Won’t be the highest performance but it shouldn’t be a scam.

It should be fine. I think the difference in price that you're seeing between the Micro Center card and the Sandisk ones are the rated speeds of each card.

The Micro Center card is rated for 90/70 MB/s (Read/Write)

While a very similarly priced card from Sandisk has around 150 MB/s (give or take).

As far as it being "legit", assuming it's a real Micro Center SD card and not a fake (has happened with SanDisk cards before, wouldn't be a first) it should be totally okay.

Keep in mind that I am sometimes wrong, so please correct me if you believe this is the case!
