VHS to DVD the easier and/or best way to do it (not for me but for a family member not tech savvy)

hello i just want to know how to convert VHS to DVD.

i don't care about upgrading the quality or any of that just want to have an easy way to do it (put the tape tap record and it goes to the DVD type of things)

my oncle already have a VHS player and a DVD player there are separate unite and i have a scart to hdmi converter.

What else i need to have and how i do it ?

thanks in advance for your time and answers.

This is about the easiest way I know of. Tape goes in, video files come out:

Or connect your VCR to a set-top DVD recorder. Press REC on one, PLAY on the other. This will not work for tapes protected by MacroVision.

DVD player? No. It needs to be a DVD recorder.

i think the simplest way is to use analog to digital converter.

usually the have recorder in the package.

just record the vhs on pc, no need for dvd.

dvd-r are short lived as a media, i would stay away.

Most likely its just player. There were very few DVD recorders as standalones. More commonly you could have, and probably still can find DVD/VHS dual players which could record to DVD. My dad digitized his VHS that way, so did my uncle for my mom.
