PC case exposed metal, if left as is will it cause issues?

Go to solution Solved by manikyath,

i'm not sure if that part of the meshify is aluminium or steel, so i'll cover both:

- if it's aluminium: you're fine.

- if it's steel, it depends. if you're in a very rust-prone climate, like hot coastal cities, it'll probably form some rust. but as long as you dont have your case sitting out in the weather i doubt it'll form problematic amounts before the computer has gone obsolete.

if you want to be certain, cover it with some nail polish or similar.

There is some exposed metal in the frame. The case is a Meshify 2 Compact which is 1 year old and the exposed part has some orange spots already. Will the case be eating itself soon or is it something merely cosmetic?
