i7 2600k oveclocked to 6GHz

sazzas

So i oveclocked  2600k to 6GHz.My question is.Is this what we call one of golden sample CPUs? or is it standart for this CPU to oveclock as much?

I tryed to look some info in google regarding my question, but all info i found so far was old and from what i seen most overcloked went from 4.5GHz to 5.5GHz, but havn't seen 6 GHz yet.

Or maybe it's just Windows missdisplay info?

What free software i could use to acurate benchmark my CPU to know actual overcloking.

P.s sorry for my english

This is a bug with task manager.

Try CPU-Z or equivalent to check the clocks.

Thank you

For a good v/f aka efficiency overclock youd be looking at 4.6-4.8g depending on cpu bin (volt 1.25-1.35v). For balls to the walls eh depends on how good your cooling is, maybe 5.1-5.2 assuming good cooling with max volt 1.6v (32nm seems to be as durable as 45nm)
