Where are all the 13700k reviews/benchmarks?

So many people are only covering the 13900k and 13600k in detail. Why is that?

 

I'm currently having a hard time deciding between the 13700k, the 7700x or the 7900x for my new build (which will be paired with either a 4080 or 4090). It'll be for 75% 1440p gaming, 25% 4k video production. I'm currently in a bit of choice paralysis and for some reason most reviewers are kinda ignoring the 13700k.

Having issues with a Corsair AIO? Possible fix here:

Are you getting weird fan behavior, speed fluctuations, and/or other issues with Link?

Are you running AIDA64, HWinfo, CAM, or HWmonitor? (ASUS suite & other monitoring software often have the same issue.)

Corsair Link has problems with some monitoring software so you may have to change some settings to get them to work smoothly.

-For AIDA64: First make sure you have the newest update installed, then, go to Preferences>Stability and make sure the "Corsair Link sensor support" box is checked and make sure the "Asetek LC sensor support" box is UNchecked.

-For HWinfo: manually disable all monitoring of the AIO sensors/components.

-For others: Disable any monitoring of Corsair AIO sensors.

That should fix the fan issue for some Corsair AIOs (H80i GT/v2, H110i GTX/H115i, H100i GTX and others made by Asetek). The problem is bad coding in Link that fights for AIO control with other programs. You can test if this worked by setting the fan speed in Link to 100%, if it doesn't fluctuate you are set and can change the curve to whatever. If that doesn't work or you're still having other issues then you probably still have a monitoring software interfering with the AIO/Link communications, find what it is and disable it.

I think Intel only sends out review samples for the i5 and i9, not for the i7, so reviewers would have to buy that themselves when it releases.

 

 

For gaming the 13700K will beat both Ryzen chips, for productivity it will be slightly slower than 7900X but still better than 7700X.

From the very limited coverage I saw it seems like you're about right on gaming but it's honestly very close. The one big thing leaning me towards the 7700X is that when the X3D versions of Zen4 release I can easily do a drop in upgrade. The power consumption and heat management is also a plus for Zen4 for me. I want to use my old cooler (beQuiet Black Rock Pro 4, 250W TDP) which is plenty for Zen4 rather than have to also buy a 360mm AIO which seems almost obligatory for Intel 13th.

 

I was hoping for more detailed coverage which help my decision but so far there are very few reliable or detailed reviews.

i7 13700K is the highest Intel Raptor Lake worth of buying... The truth is out there.

at 1440p any of these CPUs you just listed will do more than fine.

i7 13700k is what i ended up ordering. Will find out soon enough how it performs in my applications. 

 

But as @ExalyThorstated...it's a 12900KS for less money.

 

Decided to got that route instead of 13600k because my stubborn ass didn't want to go down to 6 P-cores.
