Booting from USB always causing blank blue screen

Go to solution Solved by bogboy,

I've ended up fixing this by removing all drives except for the one that I've been trying to install the system on. The install loaded up instantly after that.

I'm trying to do a fresh Windows 10 install on a brand new system, but no matter what I try, when I boot through USB I get a blue screen. I can confirm that the USBs I've tried have worked on other systems.

What I've tried:

- Using Rufus to create the bootable drive. Tried both GPT and MBR.

- Windows 11 ISO instead of Windows 10

- Use the Windows media creation tool to create the bootable drive

- Turned off secure boot, turned off fast boot, turned on CSM when using MBR

- Updating BIOS

- Create a WinPE USB drive which worked, but my ethernet connection didn't work to do a network install. Running setup.exe from another USB drive in WinPE didn't do anything.

Specs:

Asus Prime Z690-A (BIOS version 2103 09/30/2022)

5600mhz DDR5 RAM

i9 12900k

RTX 2080

750 watt PSU

I would really appreciate some help, I can't think of anything else that it could other than a faulty mobo.
