"Home made" laptop adapter

NecroFlex

The title is somewhat correct. I'll be getting a laptop motherboard with the cooling and all that, nothing else, which has a 3070 integrated. I don't have a PSU for that thing, it's supposed to come with a 300w brick, so 20V 15A.

Question is, can i DIY a PSU for it? I'm thinking either hooking up 2 150W PSUs to a single cable or using a converter for a conventional PSU to step-up 12V to 20V, tho getting one that can deliver 15A is probably a problem.

or should i just try to run the thing with 12V and see if it'll be happy?

just buy a 20V 300w laptop PSU, it'll probably be cheaper than DIY'ing some ATX power supplies together.
