I currently am using these fans

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4814839

I was thnking about switching to these since everyone says they are so good

These have better CFM and static pressure than the ones i am currently using i am mostly just wondering how much of a temp difference i am going to see with my 240mm radiator i use.

Your original question: Which is better?

If you can get over the colour then the NF-F12.

as for

Temps and noise levels will have an improvement but you gotta way up the cost of getting new fans, is it worth it to you? are you unhappy with your current performance?

It is important you tell us what radiator you have or what AIO unit.

Noctua NF-F12s are the best fans out there. They will give you lower temps. By how much its impossible to say. It depends on a lot of factors such as the temperature inside your case. What your watercooling set-up is etc.

Im not worried about the cost of the fans much. I am using the XSPC raystorm RS240mm kit right now im idling at like 28C - 30C which is somewhat disappointing to me because I thought I was going to be idling/loading at lower temps although last week when it was much colder outside I was idling at like 26C. Also I haven't overclocked mainly because im kinda hardcore about my cooling, and i don't like a loud computer. So I am not really sure what to expect from this cooler, this my my first "Custom" loop build the main reason i decided to purchase the kit was because I had decided to go with a Res/Pump combo anyways and i had heard the block for these kits was one of the best on the market so yeah.

I believe my ambient room temp to be anywhere from 74-76F (The thermostat says 77 but that's for the house and I don't have a temp tester)

CPU: AMD FX-8150

Also i found this link to some testing people did with an i5 2500k and they were idling at 31C but this is an intel chip so idk....

Just tell me if any of you have a good guess as to what type of temp drops i could see. Thanks a lot.

EDIT: Also if anyone can find anymore testing people did I would LOVE to see it, that was all i could find.

If your temperatures are directly relational to only the fan performance, ie. other factors aren't directly relating to performance change, then you should get a few degrees improvement under ideal situations, maybe 3-5 degrees. If you've done your best to eliminate other parts of your loop that may be impacting your temps, then changing the fans can help. Just keep in mind that watercooling really shines at higher temperatures so while you may not see a big jump in idle temps, your max temps at overclock should improve.

I think he might mean Fahrenheit since the highest recorded air temperature on the planet is in the 50's C.

Oh yeah sorry I did mean Fahrenheit :P

These are practically the best radiator/static pressure fans out there. They undervolt very well, they run quiet and they have great airflow/static pressure.
