Monitor has artifacting and general wonkiness at 120Hz, but not 60Hz

Hey all, I have a MSI Optix G271, which I got around January of this year. It's been working fine up until a few days ago, where it started having some on/off artifacts at the top of the screen. It wasn't too bad, and switching cables/ports stopped the problem. Yesterday, however, it started being persistent and the lower half of the screen just seemingly dropped down to 10Hz. Is it a software issue or is the monitor just broken? Switching to 60Hz just removes the problem. Thanks
