So what is the drawback of replacing 1394B with Thunderbolt? Thunderbolt is a newer (vastly superior) standard and it passively adapts converts to 1394B. The gear left in the world that still uses Firewire amounts to some music production hardware and legacy harddrives, that's about it. While fast Firewire was never really widespread in consumer applications, it's time to move on.

Honestly if I still used FireWire devices (#USBMasterRace) I would stick to it until prices for Thunderbolt devices fell, then I would consider investing in TB technology.

Bleh. I looked at it from a raw specs standpoint, but yes, I don't think an 8350 fits a workstation.

Best one. This is what I have always been stressing toward him, but he was being a shithead.

It was at a bus stop, and I told him that I prefer a Windows OS due to it's complexity and many features to which he called me retarded, along with a female Mac fanboy. I was seriously thinking about running away from the stop, since I only need it for 4 blocks anyway.

Once I asked a person why she chose to own an iPhone. She replied that it was because Apple made it.

Most views of a thread that I ever started. Wow.

I am going to hunt down that kid tomorrow and tell him what I found.

Honestly if you're so misinformed that you would take a $1000 Xeon CPU and compare it to a 8350 on the basis of benchmarks alone you should not be discussing whether a Mac is better than a PC or the other way around because you clearly have no idea about the hardware it involves what so ever.

Please stop using the word Master Race, it only makes you look stupid. Firewire was vastly superior to USB in it's time.

Most views? I once had 300 people view one of my topics about HTC One M8 vs Samsung Galaxy S5. This is nothing.

Like I said I looked at it from just a raw specs standpoint to see his reaction, I do understand that an 8350 fits under the high-end consumer category and to effectively compare I would have to find a worthy workstation grade processor that is comparable to the Xeon.

I study this from a naiive perspective as I have never used a FireWire device before. Fine. I admit my mistakes. Oh, remorse.

This thread is ridiculous.

You're all like "plz show me how to tell my freind pcs better than macz cuz lulz yo"

But what you're really trying to do is convince yourself so that you feel "superior".

You are not only ranting on the Mac Pro, but on all the Apple computers in general. You're also saying that any Mac owner doesn't know shit about computers. Really ?

You just offended me, and for that i must defend myself.

When i finished building my rig, i've bought a mid 2012 MBP. I must admit i was a windows fanboy since ever, but things changed gradually.

I'm a part time DJ, when i'm not studying, i'm mixing in clubs to make some money. In 2012, when i started, i was using Traktor in an Acer Travelmate laptop. Windows 7, 8gb of ram, Core i5, pretty decent. You know what happened ? The fucking thing blue screened while i was performing and caused a speaker to blow up. Turned out the usb drivers for my midi controler crashed. But explain to a crowd drunk as fuck that you killed their vibe "cuz of drivers". Ain't nobody give a f*ck about that. I got fired on the second day.

I bought a Macbook Pro two months later, switching to OSX was smooth as butter, the thing WORKS without you fucking with. I just connected my shitload of controllers to a hub and they worked perfectly. It's the point, as you, standard windows fanboy immature gamer who thinks he can make a living with youtube gameplay videos, cannot understand. It simply works.

Not everyone buys a Mac for "epeen", or because they dont have knowledge in computer hardware.

Price : Performance ratio ? You don't only pay for hardware, you pay for build quality, support and stability.  -The latest OSX update was free.-

Mac users ? Photographers, Music producers, Architects, Engineers & the list goes on. There are professionals out there, not only hipsters who use 2000$ macs to browse facebook.

On which world do we qualify a computer & it's users as stupid, because of games library ? What are you 8 ? Grow up. This is a tech forum, this is not a forum only related to pc gaming. Macs have always had a different approach at the personal computer.
