N7 B550 5th gen ready?

I am switching from intel to amd and I'm planning on buying a 5800x. For the motherboard I would like to get the N7 B550 but I don't know if its compatible out of the box with the cpu I want. Any help is appreciated.

That specific board is out of the box ready for 3rd,4th, and 5th Gen Ryzen. You are good to go out of the box no bios update is required for compatibility

On amazon someone was complaining about having to update the bios and stuff. I didn't know it could be compatible with all of it out of the box. Thx

I would assume that was an older comment most boards now generally have 5th gen support out of the box. A very high chance because this is a 500 series board.

what about them is trash? Could you recommend another one for the same price. The case I have needs a usb 3.2 gen 1 and 3.2 gen 2. This motherboard has that.

They're just usually overpriced for what they're worth. The B550 taichi is going to be a way better board for cheaper and has both of those usb connections

It should be unless it's been sitting on a shelf for 2 years. Even if that were the case, it has bios flash so no need to worry there

Build quality, and IIRC the VRMs weren't great either.
