Which SSD

Go to solution Solved by x Relentless Xx,

well how much longer would it last since it is quite expensive for a 120gb SSD

Most SSD's are rated for 10 years lifetime. But with MLC having more write cycles, it will have a longer life than the EVO. Its impossible to say how much longer it will last.

I am looking to buy a SSD i will have around 130 and really no more than, so i was just looking at 120gb SSD and just give me recommendations on which SSD to get , and i just am having a hard time choosing which SSD to go for, it will be used for mainly Windows 7 and programs, and i have a 1TB hard drive for games

thanks

Christian and Proud of it

what is the difference between the pro and the evo

Aside from what @x Relentless Xx said, the Pro has a longer warranty which is what 'actually' matters considering how long modern ssd's can actually last.

For everyday usage, the difference is unnoticeable.

Most SSD's are rated for 10 years lifetime. But with MLC having more write cycles, it will have a longer life than the EVO. Its impossible to say how much longer it will last.

"better" performance, that you'll never see in real world useage.

I'd say go with the cheapest option any day, as long as it's not using crap controller.

It should last longer than you need it to. Probably 10+ years

By the time it dies, any of the ssd's available today will have long been considered dinosaurs.
