I have an archer ax20 covering some area in my house, I’ve been thinking about putting in deco mesh x20’s, how much is the range of a single x20 compared to an ax20? Will I need multiple to cover the same area or will one do?

Imagine everything i have written in a Linus Voice/ linus tone (Spock live long and prosper gif here ,idk why tho, i guess i just want to say that i like star trek and am waiting for new seasons of the ongoing shows), But seriously, a lot of what i type only makes sense when said in a Linus tone from an older ltt video (circa 2017-2019 & now 2024-onwards) basically before he got a beard and a lot of it should make sense even in a Linus with a beard face.

also note as per the latest typing test on my laptop, my accuracy is 69%

I'm not weird/creepy, I'm just observant I have ADHD and am not on any meds for it because I don't want to and don't need to be on meds. i also may just be depressed. If you find other things around you depressing, are you depressed or are you surrounded by depressing things?

No one can give you that answer because any AP's signal will be affected by the environment in which it is placed. One AP might perform very differently in your house than in mine.

As a general guideline, WiFi signals tend to reach longer distances in homes built out of wood (internal walls and floors) and wide open spaces. That's why manufacturers will put coverage estimates of x000 sq-ft on their boxes, for example. They're thinking about the typical American-built home, not the homes in other parts of the world where brick, concrete and steel find their way into internal walls and floors. Those advertised coverage estimates are now significantly reduced.

That, again, is not something anyone can answer with certainty. You'll just have to try them out to see. Place them around the building and test. If you need more, then get more nodes. That's the nice thing about mesh systems.
