Im pretty sure there was no b470 chipset, do you mean h470?

You need a sli certified board to use sli, and that requires a x8 link or above for every cpu, and since all chipsets but the z series on that generation can't split the x16 from the gpu, you need a z490 board to use sli with that cpu.

I have 2 1070s and I have a NVIDIA SLI MSI Cable Bridge and I can't get the pc to detect the sli? I have a b470m-plus motherboard

As the above post states, it won’t work on your mobo.

But, sort of regardless, unless you have a very specific reason to use SLI… don’t use SLI. It’s effectively dead, and even in games it is supported, it’s not a great experience. You’d be better off selling both 1070’s and getting a single 1080 or 2070.

Your board doesnt support sli.

Either way sli has been officiallt killed off a couple years ago so dont eveb bother with it. No new games support it and only a couple handfull of older games that do support it well enough to be worth the hassle (due to lack of support for sli it also has gotten worse)
