There will, but it’s not a big one if one is limited exclusively to pcie3. The thing that made the 5600g worthy of consideration was its low price.   It’s cheaper than even a straight 5600.  It is slower.  The reasons for this are gone into in a previous post.  The machine I talked about wasn’t very upgradable as the parts included basically leaned on each other.  The way to upgrade that machine was to pull the hard drive and video card for re use and sell it, to build a whole new machine.  The thing is as am4 is EOL anyway there just isn’t a lot of upgrading that could even be done and a whole new machine would be needed anyway. So no loss.

It comes with a stock cooler (Wraith stealth).

 

The 5600G is out of stock on Amazon.AU. The cheapest in stock price is $249.99 plus shipping. So it isn't that much cheaper than the 5600.

 

As for AM4 being EOL, AMD have said they are going to continue to support it. That could mean more '3D' cpu's. In any case you still have some good upgrade options from a 5600.

The 5600g went up nearly $50 then.  When I originally suggested it it was $202.  If the 5600 comes with a cooler it’s the chip.  The whole point was it was the cheapest 6 core available. It was also the slowest, but not by very much and that low speed was caused by things that allowed for other cheap parts. If it’s not it loses all use.
