You don't need to add a res to an H220 unless you want it for looks

You dont need to add it at all not going to make any diffrents on temps

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

a rad is more likely, not a res

Real programmers don't document, if it was hard to write, it should be hard to understand.
I've learned that something constructive comes from every defeat.

If you drain the h220, having a res will make it easier to get the air out of the loop when refilling.

Theres a guy on the buildlog section that added a reservoir to his H60 if I recall correctly and that lowered his temps. I think its called project "Cheappy".

I dont see how that is possable as to cool the water you need to rad!

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

A res is simply a pool of water, there so water is always supplied to your pump. A reservoir is used for bleeding air bubbles in custom loops and is raised above the pump so gravity pushes water into the pump constantly.

His temps most likely changed because he changed coolant. The H60 is a very very low end watercooling unit.
