just wanna know if a 3070 is enough for 1440p or if i need to get a 3080 instead

Yes,It's good enough.

Though the 3060 Ti is also good enough for 1440p.

Scrub through the game benchmarks and decide for yourself if the performance is what you're looking for.

It depends, I would say yes but some AAA games will struggle and even sink a 3080 at 1440p.

 

I would say by and large 3070 is fine for 1440p if you are willing to lower some settings in certain games.
