Friend is buying prebuilt, need help

Kanna

Budget (including currency): not really any budget just trying to get down cost

Country: Sweden

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Minecraft, Cod, GTA V. Etc

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): 1080p144 or atleast 60

So my friend is buying a prebuilt PC since he found that cheaper, he found this build. Great budget but I advised him to customize it and select an Intel Core i5-11400F, and then he came with the suggestion to swap the ram to Kingston FURY Beast DDR4 3200MHz 16GB, which has no RGB. And we used the 1TB model of the SSD instead of 500gb, anything else you would recommend changing / any of our decisions that needs thinking?

Reminder⚠️

I'm just speaking from experience so what I say may not work 100%

Please try searching up the answer before you post here but I am always glad to help

A much better build also kinda cheaper, you still have some room for future upgrades like GPU upgrade to 3060ti you wont need to change anything

Almost everything is bad about that computer.

Psu is terrible low quality uni,

Case has poor airflow

Cooler is not worth the money

Slow ram

Slow storage

Lowest end board possible

Cpu that is just enough for gaming

For a 950 euro build this is honestly just flat out a bad computer.

@Omar.B's computer performs better for less and has actual GOOD quality parts in it.

Not really defending it but the i5-11400F seems to perform fine, could be wrong tho and that SSD I actually have in my main computer but 500GB it supplies me with more than enough speed. The rest I kinda agree on

Thank you, I will still yet again try and convince my friend buying parts and building own, also thanks for updating me a little on PCs, I will suggest my friend the list omar.b sent as that's relatively new but also good components.

If you were to go with their list, by the time you make the modifications in the prebuilt with the 11400f, ram and ssd you can get a 3060 into Omar's build with a slight savings. Komplett is also charging 900 SEK for W11. If you do go with the prebuilt, you can save a bit more by getting it with no OS and adding it with a cheap key yourself. This would also make unnecessary OEM bloat ware less likely, even though that one doesn't really look like it should come with much. It looks like a Komplett in house build and not an OEM build.

Yeah I was looking at the option for a 3060, I will forward to my friend and I'm on your guy's side, the pre built really isn't much so yeah will convince my friend to get custom since that does save some money. This list with a 3060 is probably something my friend would like

This button next to the components lets you customize them.

For reference with the 11400f ram and bigger SSD that build comes out to 12,500 SEK or roughly $1200 usd.
