New gaming build - pretty much everything but a mouse - 1600€

-Upgrading from years of iGPU laptop 720 low gaming
-Very much prefer to buy everything firsthand & to last. Hate E-waste and sub-5 year electronics if I can help it. This build could a decent chunk cheaper with a more specific budget build but rather just bite the bullet with upgrade options. Decent chance I might upgrade in the not too distant future.
- Semi-modular at least because I hate clutter.
- Mx Brown keyboard to have tactile feedback and relatively silent mech keyboard, walls arent super thick. Logitech because brand loyalty.
- Prices do not match with the store I used as it's not on there for some reason (not obscure either), it's 1600€
  --> this is why I have the overkill PSU and SSD, discounts that only leave like a 30€ diff with the cheaper options

Stock cooler should be enough for now especially with nice airflow for the rest of the case.

X570 so you can have a much better CPU upgrade path down the road. I still feel like AM4 has a few years to go till it's completely abandoned, long after Intel 13th Gen:

I couldn't find MX browns or any other competitor browns for less than 90euro, and that's not even the company OP wanted. Price of mechanical keyboards has really not come down since I bought mine 8 years ago, kinda crazy.

Listening to some rumours, there's a popular idea that after AM5 7000 series release, a short while later there could be a refresh with leftover AM4 chips to bridge a gap. Even in an interview some AMD lead played with the idea that AMD might have some plan with AM4 after AM5 is released to feed a thirsty market.

 

If these turn out to be true you'll be set perfect with an X570 board. If OP doesn't want to listen to rumours, spend the 40euro less and stay with a B550 he'll not lose out if those rumours turn out to be nothing.

Even if they did release a refresh cpu it would be compatible with B550. The 5800X3D already is.

The only reason I see getting a B550 is if you won't put demand on the VRM's. B550's with great VRM's cost as much if not more as equivalently cooled X570's so then what's the point. Might as well get the X570.

No they don't. Not sure where you are getting your info from ?

 

A B550-A PRO will handle any current Ryzen cpu. Or there is the B550 Tomahawk for a bit more. Both of those boards are 109.90 Euros and 139 Euros respectively.

I'm not the one giving you prices, it's PCPartPicker finding the cheapest parts from sites registered as sellers in Belgium.

 

If you need a specific site then specify which one. I can try and filter only that site on PCPartPicker and see what can be compiled.

It's bol.com basically the biggest non-international online retailer here. Don't know why be.pcpartpicker only uses sites I've never heard of. Maybe PC stores might know the good ones but I'm not risking it. Two other sites I know of didn't have better prices (alternate & coolblue)

Gonna be ordering tonight, a lot of these aren't viable. The 650W models on the reputable sites are usually 90€ minimum, 100 for a black one.
After mulling it over the big reason I'm keeping with the Samsung ssd & tomahawk is assthetics. Also 100 something euros for windows.
Another commenter on my previous post recommended g skill for amd over corsair.
