First Build Ft. cooler master and AMD

Hi, this is my very first build and I built around one year ago and also I was in a 1k budget (just a little heads up i live in Mexico and things are not as cheap as in other countries) and this is what i came up with; specs:

FX 6100

M5A97 EVO

8GB. kingston blue (1666 MHz)

Asus HD 7770 Dirct CU II

Cooler master Extreme power 500 Watts

Cooler Master Haf 912

TPi-Link PCi-e wireless network adaptor 150mbps

(recycled from an old computer) WD 600gb HDD

I would apriciate if anyone could help me out with my cable managment (it is crappy due to the crappy PSU with short cables)

You shoul try to get some extensions. Cant you run the wires behind the motherboard ? Im pretty sure I can see some holes on the case to route the cables.

Mobo: Asus Maximus Impact VI Processor: Intel 4690K @ 4.4Ghz 1.22Vlts Memory: 2x8 GB DDR3 1866Mhz GSkill Sniper

VGA: Sapphire HD 7970 3GB OC Audio: Asus Impact Supreme FX SSD: Mushkin Chronos 120GB HDD: WD Black 500GB

Thanks, when i was building it i realised that some cables were way too short to hide them in the backpanel and it was quite frustrating, actually the only long cables were the SATA ones and that is pretty much it.

reminds me of my first build and yeah i had no clue about wire management and mine was worst but i would suggest saving some money and transfering this build to another case that will allow you for wire management i recently build my 2nd gaming comp and the wire management in this is just great. I would advice the corsair 600t which is relatively cheap and provides for absolutely great wire management. Anyways great first build GLHF gaming

Thanks a lot man, i don't think the case is the problem it is the power supply's cables the ones that are too short for routing them behind the motherboard tray i say this because i actually improved the cable managment a bit today and tryed anyway possible to route the 8-pin and 24-pin behind the tray and i just couldn't it only needed like 1 inch and would've been perfect, again thanks for the case recommendation.

you could flip your psu over, the case looks like it has vents at the bottom, should give you just enough to reach

Yeah i thought about it but i don't know i don't really trust this PSU plus i don't know if it will have enough ventilation because if it hasn't the fan would spin like crazy and go really loud so i don't know i may do it in the future, thanks for the advice.

cable management problem, but isn't there some cable management space for all those wire behind the MOBO/other panel? I think you should get another PSU, like a corsair CX series

Here are some of my Ideas. I utilized my amazing Microsoft paint skills to make illustrate the cable routes.

1) Flip your PSU over. This will give you at least 4" extra length to your cables and make it look neater. (Most important step)

2) Route your 8-pin over your motherboard underneath the small gaps in between your PCI slots and the back of the case

3) Turn your back exhaust fan upside down and connect it to the fan port on your motherboard. You can now hide that molex cable behind your motherboard

4) Route your 24-pin through the holes in the motherboard tray

5) Route the power for your GFX card through your motherboards tray as well

Hopefully these changes will improve your cable management a lot. And as for your previous post about not wanting your PSU upside down because you don't trust it, if you cant trust it enough to turn it upside down, you shouldn't trust it enough to be even connected to your investment

Thanks for the advice man i had done some research and some ghetto "benchmarks" on my PSU and it is safe to do the flip over and also love the paint diagram you made :D
