Question about when testing a new build

Newmoon_Winter

I have a question about testing my PC build. I know on the April PC build video, it talks about connecting the keyboard and mouse when testing the components outside the case. Does it have to be a wired mouse and keyboard or can you use a wireless combination?

It's probably a dumb question, but I haven't really done this is a very long time so I'm a bit rusty.

I don't think it really matters.  It's paired to the usb dongle.

it doesnt matter its more to see if the system post so u dont need to troubleshoot with everything inside the case, u could literally do a post test without a mouse and keyboard too x) but it will say no keyboard connected probably

I will say I have seen some hardware that will not POST if it does not detect a KB&M (think it was an old EVGA board, it was a while ago though so don't quote me on that), so if it won't POST, it's a good idea to plug them in just in case.

Will work with radio USB dongle KB/M, I've done it, but not with BT devices  🙂

That's good to know I don't necessarily have to go out and buy a wired keyboard and mouse.

My other questions is, does it matter if the motherboard calls for a SATA m.2, and you use an m.2 MVMe?

Check the manual if it supports any pcie in the first place, if its not then no, it wont boot.
