Choosing a cooler for e5 2650 v3

Budget (including currency): 100 euro

Country: EU; Baltic states; Latvia

Im thinking about getting an AIO because of the idea of this build. Right now i've stopped at liquid freezer ii 240 or 280 variant. Ofcourse i could go with a air cooler but then it wouldn't be funny. The idea is to make a meme build, with that i mean lian li o11d mini as a case; p5 plus or p1 as ssd; chinese motherboard with xeon and ECC memory.

That's it for now, TIA and have a good day 🙂

Welcome to the forums!
I bought an Antec cooler, this one...

Amazon.com: Antec CPU Cooler, A400 RGB, 4-Pin Connector PWM Silent Fan for Intel LGA 775/1150 / 1151/1155 / 1156/1366 / 2011/2066 & AMD Socket FM2 / FM1 / AM3+ / AM3 / AM2 + / AM2 / AM4 : Electronics

for one of my E5-2690. Yours is a very similar CPU so I assume it would do quite well. It's basically silent and keeps it in the 60s under heavy 24/7 rendering load.

It might be a good cooler but i want to make a "meme" build, plus im thinking about using the 240mm AIO in my future build so if we think that way then it is not that bad of an idea.

Thanks for recommendation tho 🙂

Haha no maybe an aio thatll be reusable will be more worth it than that

yeah... i got my kit today and the only cooler i had was a amd stock one. After running cinabench r23 for 10 minutes i reached around 72°C (161°F) on the hottest core, and that was without enough thermal paste and with it the cooler just sitting on the CPU without any pressure.

Also my VRMs reached 53°C (127,4°F), so everything is ok for now. The only problem i have is that i can't get my RAM higher than 1866 atleast CPU-Z and task manager says so. I suspect that it is because i don't have a CMOS battery yet.

I don't know if i said it or no but i think reusing that AiO for my 9400f build or for my future 5800x or 5600x build or maybe even a AM5 build.
