graphics card running at 90% for no reason

Andreaskhoi

The title says it pretty much all. Task manager reports 0-5% usage and Amd drivers are reporting 90-95% usage. Also all of the vram is used up which makes no sense if its not being utilized. I*m not completely sure what's correct and what's not but the card is quite loud and is ruining hotter. I also noticed that my ram usage is unusually high (11gb). This is all with almost no applications running in the foreground.

Apologies for any spelling mistakes.

Dollars to doughnuts you have a crypto mining virus.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

You don't do any cyrpto mining do you?

I would run a virus scan to check for any gremlins.....

Not that i know of. Except if windows comes with a "free" crypto miner built in

keep in mind that Malwarebytes is not some sort of super tool that can remove even the toughest of viruses, when I screwed up there were some that kept coming back.

Looking at the amount of viruses detected, reinstall windows and don't do whatever you did to this windows install.

Also you have your answer to the original question in the Malwarebytes screenshot, a miner was detected.

I only see your reply if you @ me.

And make sure you use a clean ISO
If using pre-cleaned ISO is your thing.
