You do need a proper desk anyways and you can't use the laptop as a laptop nor can you just close your laptop without completely removing it.

Would be curious to see the LTT Team revisit C-Force's product line. There was one video on them back in 2019 that piqued my interest, and it actually prompted me to buy one of their products. It's been a permanent addition to my laptop bag since. The monitor is thin enough to fit in the laptop sleeve of my bag with my laptop, and it only needs a single USB-C cable to run at 3k 30hz, or 1080, 60hz. I think they have a 144hz model now too. I honestly don't see a need for adding so much bulk to the screen of your laptop when you can just run out to an entirely separate display with one cable. The flexibility of being able to reposition at will, place it on either side of the monitor, etc. is so much nicer than having something that has to fold and hinge out from the back of your laptop screen.

a very niche and wierd product, still feels like a prototype, its always fun to see what the smaller tech companies try and bring into the mainstream tech markets, it would be interesting to revisit the company later and see what else they have decided to experiement with.

 

At least they have delivered a product unlike everyone else who claimed to be able to make one, those satisfied customer kickstarter photos were fairly creepy

LTT should really look into the Xebec Tri Screen 2 as it very similar to this but without the scam situation this comes it.    They are also a US based company that had inventory in march when I ordered mine and it arrived within a week of ordering.  And while the screens are smaller at only 10.1 inches they are decently bright and are plug and play with no drives required.

As someone that only uses a single screen for everything, I don't really get the use case. But I'm pretty sure AR glasses will solve the mobile screen problem way better before products like these have a chance to get really good.

Please don't buy this, its a drop shipped product. You can find this same product for over 250 dollars less on Ali express. The whole website is a fake ran by someone trying to make it seem like a legitimate product. When you order this on their website, they simply plug your shipping address into Ali Express and purchase the product, and is usually automated.

Not a actual company, its actually a drop shipping "store". Basically they upload products from ali express onto new websites that seem legitimate and then when you purchase the product on their website they purchase it off of ali express and put in y our shipping details. They make almost 250 dollars off of this specific product per purchase. Simply look up "Laptop Screen Extender" on Ali express and you will find the EXACT same product for only around 270 USD.

What about this? Its called the MobilePixel Trio. It connects to the back of the laptop screen with magnets and then the screens slide out. Looks pretty interesting (and it solves Adam's critique about the screens facing out when its folded).
