Just bought an ASUS Tuf RTX 3060TI 8GB OC graphics card to replace my old AMD RX570 4GB card I've been running for years. I'm going to be using DDU to clean uninstall the AMD drivers before installing the new drivers. My question is since it's an ASUS card the directions in the manual say to go to ASUS website for the drivers even though its an NVIDA RTX 3060TI but when I check the driver version number, it differs from NVIDIA's current build (current ASUS says 512.15 while the NVIDIA current is 512.95). Even though its 512 there is large sub number which means likely lots of hot fixes for multiple things.

There seems to be mixed opinions with everything I can google. Seams like 100% seem to agree that with laptops just use the manufacturer so if its an ASUS laptop get them from Asus. But this is a Desktop GPU, and thats were opinions seem fairly split 50/50 on whether it matters to use ASUS or Nvidia. What's the consensus here. Want to make sure I do this right since this is one of my more major upgrades to my machine in a long while (not current gen but much closer to current then I've ever been)

I've always just gone with the driver from the Nvidia site. They make the GPU.

Also, it's not like if you do it, it's irreversible. You could, in all reality, try them both and see which one you like better.
