The Linux Mint operating system (without additional software or personal data) takes roughly 15GB

Running from a USB stick will also be a poor experience anyway.

Oh... can you recommend any other linux i can install?

Is there a reason you can't just buy a larger pendrive or an external hard drive/ssd? Linux Lite should at least fit but it's not going to be a great experience...

Hi, it's best for you at the moment to use a live ISO in order to get to know Linux. Then you can buy an external usb ssd drive (when you are not in an isolated area) ...

If you're limited to 8GB, it might make more sense to install something like Arch Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD, or Alpine Linux.
