Apple would not be concerned about EA branding as I expect if they were to buy them they would devolve all the leadership and likly devolve the EA brand completely and put it all under Apple Studios or something like this.

I think I mentioned earlier in the thread, EA was a major publisher of Apple games in the IIe era. Despite whatever problematicness exists with the current company, there's value in the vintage legacy of the brand.

re: the other platform discussion. while I see your points, I don't see them going that way especially with the big games... Apple TV+ isn't just available on Apple Hardware, for example.....(or is it...I suddenly realize as I only use Apple hardware for media comsumption...I don't actually know....well...either this is an example in your favor of mine 😄 )

That is true TV+ can be used on some other hardware but notably only vendors apple likes... there is no android app for example or app in MS Windows Store for those platforms you must use the web but there is a Playstation app.

I think what apple would do is for games that they are ok being on other platforms they would limit it to platforms they want to work with (Playstation and Switch, maybe Steam Dec if they want something from Valve) but I don't see them publishing on xbox or Xbox Pass or any other new platform vendors want to make.

Even when the publish on these other hardware platforms I could see it requiring you to be subscribe to Apple Arcade so it would be more that you can play on Playstation if you want just like you can view TV+ on playstation but you need to be subscribed to Apple Arcade.

I think there is a strong possibility if apple were to buy them that all future releases would be elusive to Apple Arcade subscription.
