sTR4, sTRX4, and SP3 all have the same mounting, only difference is the pinout (so says EKWB here), which isn't relevant to coolers.

Can confirm, I've had multiple EK and koolance blocks meant for threadripper fit perfectly on my EPYC server.

If you are forcing the cpu to run single core boost on all cores or dual epyc then id see why aio might be useful but prefer aircoolers for servers/workstations esp if not ocing since air is more reliable than water

You cant overclock epyc unless you are for some reason running naples aka zen+ epyc a qs/oem (-004) zen2 epyc, or es zen2 epyc (but will need bios mod for agesa 1.0.0.3 or lower with zen2 support) so custom loop is completely useless for the cpu itself

Ah this is perfect!

looks like you're using the ASRock Rack ROME8 series? I'm going to be using the Rome6 board.

do you have a write up on your build or list of parts you used?

Not going to be doing anything crazy. Would like like a quieter setup and/or something different.

An air cooler limits what cases I can get and what I can do inside said case. Looking at options

Can you be more specific?

What more would you like to know?

I want a waterblock that will fit and SP3 socket. Can be AIO or DIY.

Not doing anything crazy, just want options so that I'm not stuck with a giant towering air cooler on the board

Oh, I thought you were asking for something else.

The Cooler Master ML360 Mirror TR4 is good. The Thermaltake Floe Riing RGB 360 TR4 also works but the cabling is much bulkier.

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/
