Yes, it will work. I'm using two PCIe cables from my Corsair HX750i to power a 3-connector EVGA 3080 FTW3.

Hey there i have a question regarding the new 3080 3 8 pin cards. I am thinking about buying a 3080 and am not sure if i can buy a 3 8pin card with my current powersupply (Corsair RM850x) which has 2 pcie cable s with splitting 6+2 kables and one left cpu 8 pin cable. The question is do i need 3 8 pin cables to power the gpu or can i use the 2 6+2 ones? Or can i use the 2 splitting cables one each and use the left cpu cable for the last slot?. shouldnt it be possible i will search for 2 8 pin cards.

You're fine using the cables that you have. 6+2 or 8 pin are perfectly fine to use in whatever configuration you have available. It will work and is perfectly fine to use.

DO NOT use the 8-pin CPU power cable, though.

DO NOT try to force that 8-pin CPU power cable in.

8-pin CPU is NOT the same as 8-pin PCI-E.
