Cheap(est) 144hz monitor (new or used)?

FRD

I'm kind of curious, even though I'm not entirely looking for a new 144hz due to space. What is the cheapest 144hz monitor one can get?

Also, when looking at used monitors, would any older 144hz monitor work with the Xbox Series S? Except of course the old Acer/Benq monitors that only do 144hz through DVI.

Older monitors usually have HDMI 1.4/1.4a I believe, the Xbox has HDMI 2.1.

What are the downsides of a cheap 144hz monitor? Ghosting/smearing/TN panel/slow respons time, what else?

Often I see the Asus V248 models come along used for like $50 more or less. Would something like that work?

As brand new monitors are getting cheaper it's getting more interesting. I'm just not too fond of AOC monitors for some reason, but they are cheap brand new and used.

I'm looking for a new for around the $100 mark and if used let's say $25-75. I can wait for sales if needed, I don't need it now. I already game on a 144hz PC setup, but the Xbox doesn't support G-Sync monitors.

What are my options? It needs to work with the Xbox Series S.
