Boosting wifi range

Is there a special antenna/aerial I can stick to the roof of my house to boost the range on a wifi router? House is very insulated and kills coverage when outside

Signal inside is fine, it's once I walk outside, like I could be outside right next to router and through the wall signal has dropped to 20% or so.

Right- these will be your options though.

 

An outdoor rated AP more likely, or moving a mesh system closer to where you want to be outside
