Hey guys. I'm planning a new build that I'll start in about 2 months times. I'll be using the NZXT Phantom 410, along with a Corsair H110. The problem is, the stock fans don't look very convincing. So, I need suggestions for 140mm fans that can go on the H110. Noctua is the obvious solution, but I'm keeping that as a last resort, because I want to stick to my red/black colour scheme. Any thoughts?

Just buy noctuas and put them so that you cant see them.

And then buy some red/black fans and put them just for look.

Performance-wise, the b-gears are a good choice. aesthetically, i'm more sold on the cougars. if only corsair had an SP140 T.T

Also, if I do get the noctua fans, my option for sticking them where i cant see them would be to use them in pull config. I was originally planning on going with push. How much of a temp difference would it make?

I had the kitties before and had to dump them in 6-8months. crap bearings, vibrations,

and inconsistent speeds and temperatures.

Painting fan blades is a bad idea. Slight difference in the thickness of the paint during painting will throw the blades' out balance. The additional weight of the paint will also make the fan rotor work harder and will damage it in the long term.

for 140mm pressure Optimized, your best bet would be looking into the Bitfenix Spectre pro's, Phobya makes the nano-G in a red/orange colour, and if you want you could probably dye Noctua NF-A14 FLX fans to the colour you want.

Edit: forgot to add that Cougar vortex 140mm Fans

Bitfenix Spectre and Spectre pro are the ones i'm leaning towards right now. The specs say that 2.14 for the spectre and 2.8 for the pro for static pressure, and neither go above 30dB. How reliable are they?

I have spectre Pros and they can get pretty loud at 12v and the SP is 1.38Mm H2O not 2.8, But they are pretty reliable fans a do move a lot of air.

In case you aren't satisfied yet with the NF-A14's color yet, take a look at my avatar. That's a Rampage IV Formula, its PCI-E slots are bright red.
