I have a 600 watt evga psu. It is an older version because the cables aren’t sleeved and there is only one pcie cable. Is this an okay power supply. I currently have a gtx 1070 and a Ryzen 5 3600. I am thinking about upgrading to an rtx 3070ti. I would appreciate any thoughts. Thanks so much.

What 600w PSU? EVGA has made multiple 600w PSUs, some of which are pretty good, some of them are borderline fire hazards.

I'd still probably want a PSU upgrade no matter what, if you have the money for a 3070 Ti, you can afford the extra $80 for a good 750w unit. 600w is very borderline for this system, and unless you've got a very good one you'll probably have shutdown issues.

It is a gold version. I am not sure how to determine which one other than the unsleeved cables and one singular pcie cable. Thank you guys for your help.

80+ gold means nothing. What is the exact model number? It'll be printed on the unit itself.

It says 600 GD.

It's a mediocre PSU, but not a bomb.

don't mean to hijack this post, Jonny, I watched your video with gamer nexus and have a question. What makes FDB fans better than rifle? You said FDB has the rifling on the inside (i supposed on the bearing side?) and rifle has it on the outside (shaft?). What difference does this make? They are both sealed bearings right?

I just upgraded and wish I would of gone overkill on my PSU from day one.  Went from a 5700xt where i could daisy chain the power to a 3080 where i need 3 direct to PSU 8 pin PCIE cables.  I didn't really budget for that at the time of this upgrade but had no choice.  From now on im buying far bigger than I need and modular only.
