Not sure if a problem or not. Possible cpu temp issue.

Fat old guy

Highest temp was 89c on one of the cores for less than a second, most temps spent the majority of the ten minute test in the mid 60s to mid 70s. This was with built in overclock on. Score was 12422. Screenshots below. Unfortunately I accidentally deleted the screenshot of the temps, but they were high 60’s to mid 70’s the majority of the time, but a few cores occasionally hit the 80s for a very short time, and one hit 89c for a split second this was during a 10 minute multi core test. This is with an air cooler. Should I be worried?

Even a spike to 100°C is fine. As long as it doesn't stay at 100°C, everything is fine. For an air cooler, your temps are quite good

Thanks, I was concerned when 3 cores hit the low 80s for a very short while occasionally and the one that hit 89 for a second freaked me out.I’d say the average was mid to upper 70s.

My Core i7 10750H in my gaming laptop is at 95°C all the time while playing games, occasionally spiking close to or to 100°C. CPUs will last shorter when run hotter but it's like a couple days less every year and you'll upgrade your CPU for getting too old long before it goes bad.

Well laptops always run hot. This is a desktop.

i wouldn't worry about it, sounds pretty normal to me. stress tests/benchmarks tend to push farther than normal workloads anyway.

edit: why ask twice?

He even has a 3rd topic about his temps from march 28 but it's almost the same except in a game but these temps were not at all problematic

I mean my Core i7 9700 with a cooler rated for 130W gets to 90°C regularly while installing updates. While playing games, it stays around the 70's

Absolutely true, figured as you were comparing a laptop temp to a desktop temp I better ask elsewhere.
