Kingston DataTraveler Exodia poor write speed

Hi,

 

I recently purchase Kingston DataTraveler Exodia, while the read speed is on par (about 103MB/s sequential read), the write speed however is quite poor (around 30MB/s sequential write). Is this normal for this drive? The capacity is 128GB. USB is MBR, using FAT32 and exFAT formatting.

 

I used Kingston DataTraveler 100 G3 and I get a better write speed of about 45~50MB/s average with close to 72MB/s max.

 

It's strange, this is the first USB mass storage device I encountered having a poor write speed.

I'd go read some of the reviews with images. You'll see many people are unhappy with the write speeds, so I think the drive is simply not that fast.

I see. Okay, guess this is a very slow drive. It's strange that Kingston produce a very slow drive, as their DT 100 G3 are pretty much very good (at least acceptable in the speed) for the price. Oh well.

My friend, my Kingston DataTraveler Exodia does not exceed 6MB/s write speed with average 2MB/s
