Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I want a good pc that can run most games at 1080p - 1440p at around 144 hz. Im definitely going to upgrade this pc in the future. I want my pc to be somewhat quiet with some aesthetics and rgb. It should also be easy to build since it's my first computer.

you can get a 5600x instead of a 3600 for less than that. theres no reason to get a 3600. also id recommend a big air cooler like the nh-d15 instead of a water cooler. Unless you prefer the look of water cooling.

If you want to make it quiet don't get that HDD. I have exactly that one and it's stupidly loud. You should get a big SSD instead if possible.

A good air cooler will be better than that AIO. Something like a Dark Rock 4 or Noctua U12S should be good, maybe even something cheap like a Freezer 34.

Nope. Remember that it's CAD, not USD. What is similarly priced to a 3600 and much faster is a 12400F. Get that with a B660 and you got similar performance to a 5600X with better support for in the future.

Nicer SSD for less than SN550. Has SLC Caching and Dram buffer for nice and stable speeds.

Alternative PSU

12th gen intel platform for more upgrade potential. B660 will be supporting 13th gen and possibly 14th gen as well

I would recommend a solid air cpu cooler instead. You may have to get a separate mounting kit from the company that makes the air cooler, but that's what I would recommend instead.

My first pc so i want it to be relatively simple. Some RGB and aesthetics but mainly performance based. I will upgrade it in the future, thats why I chose that motherboard. I want decent cooling and it to be somewhat quiet. Please help me out!

Looks pretty solid. I'd swap the 3600 for the 5600x. Depending on how much photo/video editing you're doing the 5800x might be better for the additional cores (but maybe not within your budget at that point, but you could go for an air cooler instead to offset). There are enough 3600 CL16 RAM kits out there that I'd go for one of those if you can.

Be sure to QUOTE or TAG me in your reply so I see it!

AMD will cut prices very soon so you may want to wait a week or two. At that point you can get the 5600 for $200. Also that liquid cooler is a good one but not necessary at all. If you want to upgrade down the line you can get a better cooler then.

EDIT: dismiss the cooler and get the 5700x when it releases.

think you might be over spending on the mobo

check what features your getting over a cheaper model

and then figure out if the difference is worth it to you

The AIO is major overkill for a 3600.  A decent tower cooler from Cooler Master or Arctic would be more than enough for 1/3 the price.

The classic Cooler Master Hyper 212 would be a perfect cooler for that CPU.  They're about 50 Canadian.

I don't believe every CPU comes with a stock cooler.

So you might want to check if whatever you decide in the end comes with a stock cooler.

Otherwise I suggest Noctua D-15 as a great 'regular' cooler that would be a high-end solution if you will decide to go for a hotter CPU

Both the 3600 and 5600x do come with one.

However, I think the 12400f builds quoted here would be the better option than a 5600x.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.
