Can't set my DRAM to 3600.

Go to solution Solved by Devryd,

If you replaced your CPU, your board might be using default settings but still shows xmp as set.
Disable xmp, save changes and reboot
enable xmp, save changes and reboot

see if it helps

I was able to set my DRAM to 3600, enabled XMP profile before, but now everything is reset after I replaced my CPU. I don't know why I can't set it back to 3600 again.

That's where I'm supposed to go, right? When I set it to 3600 instead of Auto, the PC restarts, then displays a message that says "overclocking memory failed, use default setting" and wouldn't boot. I had to go back and change it back to auto. Did I miss something else?

Thanks in advance!

You have to load the XMP to have the memory set 1.3500V and then you can play with the freqencies, but shouldn't XMP set the frequency?

Did you use Ryzen 3600 before? Try clearing CMOS, by removing CMOS battery for 5 min while PSU is off.

CPU: Ryzen 5800X3D | Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 Elite V2 | RAM: G.Skill Aegis 2x16gb 3200 @3600mhz | PSU: EVGA SuperNova 750 G3 | Monitor: LG 27GL850-B , Samsung C27HG70 |

I agree @WhateverchanYou only need to enable XMP, nothing else.

But I did, as you can see on the picture. But the top still says DDR speed = 2133?

It's possible that you lost the silicon lottery and the memory controller is not good.

The memory controller on the CPU affects the stability of the RAM,

So if you replaced the CPU,now you have a different memory controller.

This is the most common cause for RAM instability,It's not the RAM itself.

It will probably work fine with the older CPU.
