Hi LTT forum,

I posted a while back about some geating some opinions on a custom PC build quote (https://linustechtips.com/topic/1413925-custom-pc-quote-opinion/?do=findComment&comment=15276139). It's been a few weeks and after talking back and forth with one company I wanted to get some opinions on it before I go ahead.

I think the two things for me I'd consider changing is upping the  Graphics card to a 3060 TI and changing out the power supply to a 650W.

Id love to know your thoughts.

Cheers,

Kenny

The front panel design looks like it will restrict the air coming in.

Whats the workload? if its only for gaming then 16gb of RAM should be fine. Also you can buy a windows 11 key for cheaper than that for about £30. And is that front panel mesh because if its solid then you are getting some airflow restrictions which with lack of airflow you could get some heating problems. And yes i might upgrade to a 3060ti.

Legitimate PC shops are not going to be using grey market keys. So while you might be able to find cheaper keys on the internet that Microsoft will let you activate, most shops are going to charge retail prices, and get their software from proper channels to cover themselves.

Yes i realize that but you should be able to just not add a microsoft key to your list and just get one once you get the PC

The psu and case choices are pure garbage for a PC that costs over 400£. Id even pick almost any of the reasonable pre-builts from HP or Lenovo over that. Or even better, spend a few hours building your own.

Are there any stores where you can freely pick parts and have them build it for you? Because you can get a much better gaming pc for the same money.
